Arlo & Co wall decal products are made using fine weave fabric, not vinyl, and are printed with high quality inks. The products are for indoor use only as the weave fabric isn't waterproof and can be seriously damaged by exposure to high humidity and moisture.
Our decals will safely adhere to most wall surfaces, however there are some surfaces and paints which reject low-tack adhesive and simply won't keep the product securely in place. Please contact us if you would like a sample of the material to test on your wall surface before purchasing.
WALL PREPARATION:
Hand Hygiene: Wash hands thoroughly with soap and water. (The oilS naturally occurring on fingertips is best washed away prior to handling your decals.)
Wall Cleaning: Before applying your decals, be sure the surface has been cleaned, and is dust-free and dry. Wipe the application surface with a damp microfiber cloth to remove dust and debris.
Drying Time: Ensure the wall is completely dry before proceeding.
Note: For freshly painted walls, please leave at least a three-week drying period.
APPLICATION:
Remove the decals from the packaging and gently unroll the decal sheet until it lies flat.
Peeling: Carefully peel the decal away from the backing material.
Placement: Position the decal in the desired location on the prepared wall surface.
Initial Smoothing: Gently smooth the decal onto the wall with your hands. If the decal adheres to itself, carefully separate it.
Final Smoothing: Use a felt-tipped squeegee or a credit card wrapped in a microfiber cloth to smooth the decal from top to bottom, removing any air pockets.
Pressure Application: When applying, gently rub over the surface of the decal - with your finger, a soft cloth, or the back of your hand - from the centre outwards, pushing out any air bubbles.

REMOVAL:
To safely remove the decals from the wall, carefully lift a corner and whilst holding the sticker back on itself, slowly peel off.
Our wall decals won’t damage your wall provided it is in tact and undamaged - it is important to be careful when removing in case the wall has been poorly prepared before painting, or is damaged in any way (such as flaking paint).
It's best to avoid removing your wall decals in very low (cold) temperatures.
Fold the decal back on itself, and slowly peel off. If you're concerned, or the wall offers resistance, you can apply gentle heat with a hairdryer whilst removing.
Please contact us if you are having any difficulty with removal so we can talk you through the process. If you are removing or reposition-ing a large decal, it's a good idea to have two sets of hands to help, and go slowly.
The backing paper is a good place to store your decals before repositioning then elsewhere. Avoid touching the adhesive side of the decal as much as possible, as dust or oils may affect the adhesive.
